when we pay for our entrance fee we were told most of the tulips had wilted since it had been an unusually hot spring this year. tell me about it. the top temp for today was 30deg C. when we reached the farm this morning at 9.30am, it was already 21degC. so we were given free tickets for next year's festival. i will just have to make sure i make it there right at the beginning of spring.
here are some of the pics from today. i took over 200, no kidding. abby loves to pick flowers at home. on the way there, i told her she is not allowed to pick the flowers, only look and smell them. she told me they stinks...lol. abby is now very uncooperative with posing with photos. she either give me a really fake smile, baring all her teeth or poke out her tongue. i will probably have to start bribing her...lol.


this is supposed to be a field of tulips but most of them had been de-headed (right term?). we even went for a horse drawn carriage ride. that was abby's favourite part of the trip.

How lovely was it there?!! I went last weekend, and took heaps of photos too!!! Glad you still managed to catch some of the flowers!

cute little Abby not cooperating? well... she's around 2,5 - 3 years right?? this is only the beginning :) Sanne is now putting up her hand against my camera and yells NOOOOO like i'm abusing her....she will thank me in 20 years though... :)fun fun pictures Shirls!!
